Footy Promotions has concluded the Footy Force 7 event sponsored by the ACE Bermuda Foundation. This event involved Under 12 and Under 14 players participating in 7-a-side games at the Berkeley Institute Field.

Footy Force uses small sided games as a player development method. In this format, youth players were able to get more touches on the ball, they were encouraged to be creative and they received a lot of scoring opportunities.

Peter Rickards, technical director of Footy Force said, “When I refereed the games, I did so with minimal interruption, allowing the players to express themselves in a relaxed and friendly environment.”

A spokesperson says: “It was great to see the players having so much fun. The players were able to play with friends and players from different clubs. It was a good and positive atmosphere that involved over 40 players.”
